As it has been announced for days, Newcastle has officially promoted the new coach.
Former Bournemouth coach Eddie Howe has officially sat on the Magpies’ bench. This was already clear on Saturday, when Howe watched the match between Newcastle and Brighton, in the company of Amanda Staveley.
Howe was the manager of Bournemouth from 2012 to 2020, and the “cherries” competed in the third rank of the competition. In the summer of 2013, he secured promotion to the Championship, and only two years later he secured a place in the Premier League.
Bournemouth competed in the elite until the summer of 2020, when he dropped out of the competition and Howe left the team.
He will have a new challenge with Newcastle, and the main goal will be to survive in the Premier League.
– It is a great honor to work in a club of this history. Thanks to the owners who trusted me and the fans for their support. This is a fantastic chance for me, but also a difficult endeavor. I know I have a lot of work to do. I can’t wait to start working – Howe said upon arriving at the club.
Also, it will be very interesting how Howe will adapt to the new team, and they to him, having in mind that the Englishman is the type of manager who forces attacking football. Newcastle in recent seasons has not been a team overly known for its offensive style of play.
What do you expect from a new coach? How will the players adapt to him, and will the “Magpies” survive in the Premier League?
