This week has seen a flurry of Blackball activity across all divisions, with teams striving to secure their place in the finals of their respective competitions.
The semi-final first legs kicked off earlier this week with intense matchups. In the National League, Cospicua Rangers A delivered a commanding performance, defeating Ħamrun 147 B 14-6 in their opening leg. The two sides will meet again tomorrow for the decisive second leg.
Over in the Challenge League, Ħamrun 147 C registered a solid 14-6 victory over Selmun Sports Club A. Their second leg showdown is also scheduled for tomorrow, promising more thrilling action.
In the Regional League, Qormi Pinto cruised into the semi-finals after a dominant 21-4 win against Cospicua Rangers B. However, their momentum was halted in the first leg of the semi-final, where they fell 15-5 to a strong San Ġwann Tiki Taka A side. Qormi will be hoping to bounce back in tomorrow’s second leg.
The Community League also produced tightly contested action. PL Balzan and Qormi Anici Calleja Ltd played out a 10-10 draw in a balanced first leg, while San Ġwann Tiki Taka C edged past Valletta Fossa Boys 11-9 in another close encounter.
Meanwhile, the Amateur Cup is progressing smoothly, with notable early-week results. Żebbuġ St Joseph defeated San Ġwann Tiki Taka D 11-3, and Siġġiewi Montekristo enjoyed an 11-2 win over Selmun Sports Club C.
