Fifteen year old Gozitan triathlete Liam Daly has announced himself on
the international stage in remarkable fashion, with his first ever
official appearances representing Malta now reflected on his World
Triathlon athlete profile.
Making his international debut for Malta in June 2026, Daly immediately
delivered outstanding results against Europe’s young triathletes. His
first race in Maltese colours saw him claim 3rd Place at the Africa
Triathlon Junior Cup in Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia, before travelling to
Spain just one week later where he became 2026 European Age Group
Champion 16-19 Sprint Triathlon in Tarragona.
At just 15 years of age, Liam achieved these results while competing
against athletes up to three years older than himself, making his debut
international campaign one of the most successful ever by a young
Maltese triathlete.
