Zverev reaches first Wimbledon final with commanding win over Fery

Alexander Zverev has booked his place in his first-ever Wimbledon final after defeating Britain’s Arthur Fery 7-6(0), 6-2, 6-4 in Friday’s semi-final.

The German was pushed hard in a closely contested opening set before producing a flawless performance in the tie-break, winning it 7-0. From there, Zverev took control, dominating the second set and maintaining his composure to close out the match in straight sets.

The victory sends Zverev into his maiden Wimbledon final and leaves him just one win away from securing back-to-back Grand Slam titles.

He will now look to complete a memorable fortnight at the All England Club when he competes for the Wimbledon crown on Sunday.
