Belgian tennis player David Goffin qualified for the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon in London, after defeating the 28th American Francis Tiafoe after five sets, 7:6, 5:7, 5:7, 6:4, 7:5.
Goffin, the 58th player in the world, won after four hours and 36 minutes and advanced to the quarterfinals of the London Grand Slam for the second time in his career.
Both tennis players made six breaks each. Tiafoe sought the help of a physiotherapist after winning the third set, then lost the fourth set, and with the score 5:5 in the fifth set, he did not use two break points.
Goffin will play in the quarter-finals against British Cameron Norrie, who defeated American Tommy Paul 6:4, 7:5, 6:4.
He became the first British tennis player to reach the quarterfinals of Wimbledon since Andy Murray in 2017.
