TSITSIPAS DISCOVERED A MYSTERY CALLED “TOILET”: My goal is not to get someone out of rhythm!

This year, Stefanos Tsitsipas stirred up the tennis community with his famous trips to the toilet in the breaks between sets.

The Greek tennis player found a hole in the ATP regulations, that is, there is no clearly defined time that a player is allowed to spend in the toilet.

Tsitsipas found himself under attack from the tennis community because of his move, bearing in mind that the Greek often spends over 10 minutes in the toilet. Of course, with such a long break, it disrupts the rhythm of the opponent, but it also preserves.

However, in a conversation with the German “Bild”, Tsitsipas revealed that he has no intention of interrupting anyone’s rhythm.

  • No, my goal is not to disturb someone’s rhythm, and that is not my tactic. I always look only at myself and do not pay attention to the opponent. Even when I get a 6-0 set I go to the bathroom to change. How many times I go to the toilet has to do with the conditions. I never did it in Indian Wells because it was dry and I didn’t sweat as much as in Cincinnati or the US Open – said Tsitsipas.

However, to his great regret, numerous tournaments began to introduce time limits for time spent in the toilet.

  • That should not be limited. With clean and dry clothes, I feel more comfortable and fresh. Sweat bothers me. Every tennis player should decide for himself how many times he will go to the toilet – concluded Stefanos.

It often happened that the Greek, after a break for the toilet, looked incomparably better on the field. Due to that, there were speculations that he would talk to his father, who is his coach, during the break. Also, it often happens that during the match itself, the two of them receive a warning for “coaching”.

Do you think Tsitsipas really goes to the bathroom just to change?
