Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas commented on Novak Djokovic’s desire to continue to win trophies and push boundaries in sports at the age of 37, even after great results during his career.
Novak recently won the 24th Grand Slam at the US Open and returned to the top spot of the ATP list.
There is no doubt that he will compete at the highest level for some time and try to get his hands on one of the biggest tennis tournaments.
“If we go by the numbers, Novak Djokovic is definitely the best. He breaks record after record. And he keeps his hunger, and he has nothing more to prove. That’s his character. He is never happy. It’s like he’s always trying to prove something to someone. I don’t know what and to whom. It’s like he wants revenge,” Ttsitsipas said.
He believes that Roger Federer inspired young players the most.
“If the criterion is who inspired the world the most and who had the greatest influence, it is definitely Federer, by a large margin. I don’t think there will be anyone else who can match him”, Tsitsipas said.
