Tsitsipas: I think I was too relaxed…

Finally, the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas spoke and sent all the nicest words to Borna Coric after winning the title.

Although Tsitsipas defeated the number one tennis player in the world, he was defeated by a Croat.

-” He played like every time, he didn’t change much. He has strong shots from the baseline, and does not go to the net. He is a fundamental player from the baseline, he always has good answers. It does two things very well: service and exchange from the baseline. He’s a bit like Medvedev, but he hits the ball harder, it opens up the court more,” began Tsitsipas and added:

His next tournament is the US Open.

-” I think I was too relaxed and that he was much more focused on the duel. Sometimes when I’m too relaxed I’m not present enough in the moment. I could have taken the chances in the first set, I don’t know why I didn’t. He always had a good answer and that cost me the first set, which could have been decisive.”
