The best tennis player in the world, Novak Djokovic, is threatened with deportation, his visa for entering Australia has been revoked.
However, the Minister of Immigration, Alex Hawke, decided to use his right, which he retained, and to cancel Novak’s visa.
“The refusal is based on the fact that the decision is in the public interest,” said Minister Hawke.
Djokovic now has the right to appeal, so it is possible that deportations will not take place immediately.
Djokovic was granted permission to enter the country on Monday, according to a court ruling in Melbourne, and had previously been detained at a hotel for migrants for five days.
According to the law, the Minister of Immigration reserved the right to react, to overturn the decision made in court.
Hawk used his right, and as a reason, he stated that all the documents that Novak brought are not valid.
