Novak Djokovic did not want to talk about the physical problem he had in the last set of the Masters tournament final in Paris.
The Serbian tennis player also explained why he does not want to comment on it:
“I would not like to talk too much about it because you will use it as an excuse for my defeat. No, everything was fine. It’s normal when we play day after day, sometimes an injury happens. I fought until my last breath. This was just not a winning day for me,” explained Novak.
The last tournament he will play this season is the ATP in Turin, which starts on Sunday.
“Every point is important at this stage of my career. Whenever I play I try to win, it’s no secret. That’s my mentality, my approach to Turin. I feel good on the pitch. Of course, I am disappointed with this defeat, I was close to the goal. It all came down to a few points. The level of tennis I provide is high and I have my chances. Every match there is a final. There is no easy match,” says Đoković.
“You must be ready, fresh and available. You have a day between each match so I will rest between matches, that’s a good thing. We’ll see, I played there last year very well. I played in the semi-finals. I know that the bounce is bigger, the court is very fast, and the serve must be good. I will be there a couple of days earlier, to train. I hope I will be at my best,” concluded Novak Djokovic.
