Nick Kyrgios will not play at the 2024 Australian Open due to injury

Nick Kyrgios, an Australian professional tennis player, confirms his absence from the 2024 Australian Open due to a knee injury.

The controversial tennis player, after an injury spent 5 months out of the field. For now, he missed the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open, and now he confirms that he will miss the tournament in front of the home crowd for the second consecutive year.

The 28-year-old underwent knee surgery and is still not ready to return to top tennis.

On Saturday, Nick Kyrgios confirmed his withdrawal from next month’s tournament, which is scheduled for January 14, 2024.
