The Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal managed to overcome the third round of the Masters in Madrid. After three sets and a great deal of drama, he defeated David Goffin.
The “King of Slag” needed more than three hours of tennis to win against the Belgian—6:3, 5:7, 7:6 (9).
Rafa was close to eliminating Gofafin, but in the tie-break he failed to use any of the four match balls.
Rafa will play against Carlos Alcaraz and Cameron Norrie in the quarterfinals.
After routinely winning the first set, Nadal missed two match points in the second. Then Goffin reached the set with 3 : 5 (7 : 5).
During the third set, great uncertainty was seen. Rafa missed four more match points in the tie-break, but he managed to use five, so he reached the final victory.
