Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal has been honored with a replica statue at his home in Majorca.
The original three-meter statue of Nadal stands in the Roland Garros complex in Paris. President of TS France Gilles Moreton and the director of the Paris Grand Slam, Amelie Moresmo, presented the smaller replica to Nadal in recognition of his achievements on the court.
“The values and spirit of the Academy are a reflection of a man like Rafa. Humility, education, and work are values that he embodies more than anyone else. He always has the desire to impart knowledge. Academy players are in very good hands. I am happy to share these moments with Rafa,” said Morezmo.
Nadal, who has won 14 French Open titles, including his most recent win in 2022, expressed his gratitude for the honor.
“Roland Garros is the most important place in my career. So I’m excited to have the statue there. The possibility to have a replica here, in my house, in the Museum, the facility, which are special to me and my family. I am very grateful to everyone who made it possible for me. It will be displayed here, along with my trophies, so that everyone who wants to come can see it,” said Nadal.
Tennis fans worldwide are celebrating Nadal’s achievements and eagerly awaiting his next match.
