Rafa Nadal from the ashes to the record! The Spaniard defeated Medvedev in five sets at the Australian Open

Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal is the champion of this year’s Australian Open. The Spaniard showed how much he still has a desire for tennis, because, after a big blow and injury, he returned to the court and won the 21st Grand Slam title, thus reaching a new record.

In the match for the title, Nadal defeated the Russian Daniil Medvedev in five sets, with the result of 3:2. Although Medvedev started much better at the start, taking a 2-0 lead, Rafa showed that he also plays great on concrete, despite the break he had. Nadal showed a greater desire to win and managed to turn it around and equalize, so the fifth decisive set was played.

With this victory, Medvedev could have become the best tennis player in the world, but he did not have enough strength to dominate Rafa until the end.

In the fifth set, both tennis players played phenomenally, but Nadal’s experience and strength decided, so he deservedly triumphed and reached 21 Grand Slams and a new record.

Rafa is the honored champion of the Australian Open 2022.
