Daniil Medvedev, a tennis player from Russia, talked about Rafael Nadal, who is currently out of court due to an injury he suffered in Melbourne.
“I want to see him. It hasn’t been easy for him lately. Everyone knows. He will come back when the clay season starts and show what he has. He always showed, especially at Roland Garros, that he is capable of anything. We have already seen it with great players, who came back from injuries and continued to win. You have to wait. You can win every tournament you play. It’s Rafa. It was the same story with Roger, Novak and Andy. Until the moment comes when he says: ‘I give up,’ he will be dangerous for everyone,” Medvedev said.
He singled out Spaniard Carlos Alcaras as a great rival in the future.
“I have never played against him when he is at the top of the ATP list. We played when he was 150 (actually 75 on the list) and it was a completely different match on grass. I trained with him several times, he showed incredible skills and talent. I watched some of his matches in Buenos Aires. It is not easy to come back after an injury. He won the tournament, he has a great forehand, and he has a bright future in the sport. I would be happy to play with him, I hope he stays healthy”, said Daniil Medvedev.
