Nick Kyrgios has rightly declared himself the main favorite for the Australian Open, as he overcame his biggest obstacle to winning the title against Novak Djokovic in today’s exhibition match played in Melbourne.
“II would 100 percent retire if that happened.” pointed out Kyrgios, then explained why he no longer wants to play professional tennis:
“II train a lot, and it takes a lot of work, and I just want to eat and drink what I want.” It’s a tough life, and these guys are really dedicated. I did it a bit last year just to show you that I’m still the best. “I will try again this year, but it will be difficult.” Kyrgios explained
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard Nick aspire to win a Grand Slam and retire.
The tennis player from Australia is currently ranked 21st in the world.
