Nick Kyrgios defended all tennis players who during the break at the end of the season play in lucrative exhibitions.
Every year in December, tournaments of this type are usually played, this year the World Tennis League was played in Dubai, while another competition last week was the one in Hong Kong, where Hubert Hurkacz won at the end.
American tennis player Noah Rubin pointed out on social networks that these tournaments are not good for tennis players, with whose opinion Kyrgios did not agree.
“I’m sure you would play if you were offered a six-figure sum week after week,” said Nick.
To which the American replied:
“These exhibitions have the biggest stars in the world, like the All-Star game. I would suggest that it is rather those 250 Series competitions week after week that ‘dilute’… Events around the world with players like Novak Djokovic and myself, do not kill tennis.”
