Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten progressed to the third round of the French Open after securing a straight sets victory over Mattia Bellucci and Fabian Marozsan at Roland Garros.
The second seeded pair recorded a 6-1, 6-4 win to continue their strong start to the tournament. It follows their opening round victory against Nelson Borges and Zhang Zhizhen, where they also advanced in straight sets.
Heliovaara and Patten made an early breakthrough in the opening set after a difficult service game from Marozsan, who committed two double faults. The Finnish and British duo quickly took control of the match, breaking serve twice and winning six consecutive games to claim the first set 6-1.

The second set proved more competitive as Bellucci and Marozsan responded strongly and pushed several games to deuce. However, Heliovaara and Patten continued to apply pressure and earned another break of serve midway through the set.
The Italian Hungarian pairing managed to save multiple break points and later broke back after a series of errors from Patten, briefly reducing the deficit. Despite that response, Heliovaara and Patten regained control immediately and broke serve once again to close out the match 6-4.
The victory sends the former Wimbledon and Australian Open champions into the third round, where they will face either Andre Goransson and Evan King or Diego Hidalgo and Patrik Trhac.
