GILBERT: I had a wonderful conversation with Alcaraz and Juan Carlos Ferrer

Brad Gilbert, Andre Agassi’s former coach and now Corey Goff’s mentor, is delighted with the game of the best player in the world, Carlos Alcaraz.

The American expert points out that the Spanish tennis player has improved physically compared to last year, so that he is now a complete player.

“I had a wonderful conversation with Alcaraz and Juan Carlos Ferrero and one thing is certain. Alcaraz has really grown this year, we stood eye to eye and it seems to me that he is even stronger. He told me that it was the first time he experienced such a hot day in Cincinnati,” Gilbert began.

“He told me he’s been to Cincinnati three times and he’s never had such a hot day. I told him I had been there many times. So in the nineties there was a whole week with great humidity, so that week when the final was played was a normal day compared to some past times”, concluded Gilbert.
