Federer does not play at Wimbledon 2022!

Wimbledon 2022, the third Grand Slam of the season, will be played without tennis legend Roger Federer of Switzerland, it was announced in the tournament’s main draw on Friday.

Once the first tennis player in the world, he previously missed the Australian Open 2022, the first Grand Slam of this year, because he was in the process of rehabilitation after a knee injury.

He then withdrew from Roland Garros in the fourth round due to his worries after knee surgery.

So far, the 40-year-old Swiss has won eight Wimbledon men’s singles titles and holds the championship record.

He won Wimbledon in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012, and 2017.

He dropped to 96th place in singles, making his Wimbledon debut in 1999.

Wimbledon 2022 starts on June 27 and lasts until July 10.
