Novak Djokovic talked about the younger generation in the world of tennis led by Carlos Alcaraz.
” Every generation has great talents to offer. I have seen many talents coming up and challenging us at the top over the years. What Alcaraz did is extremely impressive, historically for our sport, so he deserves praise, no doubt. He is already number one. That’s the top, no more climbing. He also won the Grand Slam, and he is so young. I assume that we will see a lot of Alcaraz and Rune in the future,” Novak pointed out and continued:
Djokovic believes that Felix Auger-Aliassime should not be forgotten either.
“I think he has been playing the tennis of his life for the last five, six months. Maybe because of Rune and Alcaraz, people don’t talk about Felix as much, because he’s been around a bit longer, but he definitely deserves to be in the story. You mentioned Musetti, too. He gains self-confidence and progresses. I have a good relationship with all of them.”
