CONFIRMATION HAS ARRIVED: Djokovic has given up on the big tournament!

After the lost Wimbledon came the confirmation that Novak Djokovic is still missing an important tournament.

Currently, the second tennis player on the planet will not participate in the Masters in Toronto, as the organizers of the tournament in Canada officially announced.

“Of course, we are disappointed that Novak will not play this year. He is an incredible player and one that we know our fans are eager to watch. We will miss him, but we still have a long list of sensational players confirmed this year, including as many as 41 of the top 42 tennis players in the world,” said tournament director.

After Wimbledon, Djokovic announced a longer break, including Turin.

“I have always enjoyed Canada, but after talking with my family, we believe that this is the right decision. I would like to thank Karl Hale, the tournament director, for his understanding. I hope to be able to return to Canada and Toronto in the coming years to play in front of great fans,” Novak’s message to the tournament organizers reads.

Novak’s first next tournament will be in Cincinnati.
