Novak Djokovic had to stop his training match against Daniil Medvedev because he felt pain due to the injury he suffered recently.
The currently fifth player in the world lost the first set, after which he packed his bag and went to the locker room.
A little later, Novak spoke to explain what happened.
“It’s the hamstring I had a problem with in Adelaide last Sunday as well. I just felt it pulling and I didn’t want to risk anything worse. I played the set and apologized to Medvedev. He was understanding. I just want to avoid any major fears before the Australian Open,” Djokovic pointed out.
