Alex de Minaur has announced his participation in the upcoming US Open, despite having to withdraw from the Paris Olympics due to a hip injury.
Last month, De Minaur was forced to pull out of his Wimbledon quarter-final match against Novak Djokovic after sustaining a cartilage tear in his hip during the fourth round. In a recent Instagram post, the 25-year-old expressed his gratitude for the support he has received during his recovery and shared his excitement about returning to the court for the US Open.
The 144th edition of the tournament is scheduled to begin in New York on August 26th.
