Andy Murray spoke out after Boris Becker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
Becker was found guilty of tax evasion and false bankruptcy.
- “I didn’t feel any special emotion because of that. He broke the law, and when he does, I don’t think anyone should get special treatment for who you are or what you’ve accomplished in life. I’m sorry that he found himself in that situation, but I’m also sorry for the people who were affected by his decision, as well as for what happened to them. “- says Andy and adds:
- “I hope he is well and that he will learn from his mistakes. But to feel something special about it, no, I don’t. ” Murray concluded.
