Tony Godsick, Roger Federer’s agent for many years, believes that no one will achieve in the “white sport” what the Swiss has achieved.
-” There will be people who will win more tournaments or have more grand slams. There will always be a new number one, but no one will have the impact on tennis that he had,” says Tony and adds:
After the Laver Cup, the famous Federer will announce his retirement.
-” A few weeks after Wimbledon, he told me that his knee was not responding properly and that he was thinking about ending his career. And I suggested that he stop, few tennis players push in their forties. After more than 1,500 matches, the tires finally wore out. He will have something to do in the next phase of his life,” Godsick concluded.
