HITT Academy Tibhar and MITTC started their commitments in the European cup qualifying tournament organized by the European Table Tennis Federation being held at Santa Clara College in Pembroke. HITT Academy Tibhar lost 3-0 against Radnicki of Croatia and 3-1 against Tennis Tavolo Sassari. The latter have Conrad Puli, Luke Bonello, Isaac Grixti and Gabriel Grixti among their ranks. On the other hand, MITTC was a tough nut to crack for Table Tennis Club Zeleznicar of Serbia although they still lost 3-2. MITTC are playing with Amirazi Abbasi, Daniel Bajada, Umberto Borg Cardona and Neil Incorvaja. In other results from match day 1, Santa Tecla Nulvi won the Italian derby against Tennis Tavolo Sassari 3-1 while the Greeks Panathinaikos beat Marcozzi of Italy 3-1.
