The Masters international table tennis championships that took place in the Italian capital city of Rome were brought to an end. Malta was represented by veteran player David Pace who left a good impression with the performances he offered and the results obtained.
Pace took part in the Men’s category 55+of men as he won against Dutch, French and Danish opponents and it was only Argentinian player Mathias Micheli who stopped his positive moment although he struggled to win it 3-2.

In the doubles he took part with Swiss Olivier Stryjski where they won against two French and Italian teams. They reached the third phase of the competition although they lost 17-15 against German couple Juker/Renco.
David Pace also took part in the mixed doubles where together with Roberta Negriolli of Italy they played against Colombian, English and German opponents although they lost their first matches. Despite everything, they achieved victories against other Colombian and German teams.

In this competition, there were a number of volunteers who helped in the organization of the tournament with Maltese Denis Borg, Alex Anastasi and Noel Schembri who gave a helping hand during the running of this prestigious competition.
