Jimmy White produced a dramatic 6-5 victory over Matthew Stevens to qualify for the 2026 International Championship in Nanjing.
The 64-year-old, the oldest player on the World Snooker Tour, appeared to be in control after building a 5-2 lead in the best-of-11 contest.

White also produced a century break of 104 in the second frame as he looked set for a comfortable victory.
Stevens, however, fought back strongly with breaks of 121 and 72 to level the match at 5-5 and force a deciding frame.
The Welshman had the first opportunity in the final frame but managed only nine points before White took control.
White made the most of his chances to secure victory and book his place in the venue stages in Nanjing.
The result marks White’s third win of the season and his third century break of the campaign.
He will face either Mark Selby or Luo Zetao in the first round of the main event.
The International Championship venue stages will take place in Nanjing from 31 October to 7 November, with the qualifying competition continuing in Leicester until Saturday.
