The National Individual Snooker Championships for the 2024/2025 season continued today at the Malta Snooker Academy, delivering a day of exciting and closely-fought matches across various divisions.
In the CE Installations Premier Division, the match between Chris Peplow and Clayton Goodrum was a nail-biter. Peplow emerged victorious with a 4-3 win after a tense, back-and-forth encounter that showcased remarkable skill and resilience. Peplow also delivered the day’s standout moment, achieving an impressive 102 break, the highest of the session.
Over in the Goliath Coatings 1st Division, Brian Caruana claimed a solid 3-1 victory against Rodney Farrugia in a best-of-5 match. Caruana’s sharp play and consistency ensured his success and marked him as a strong contender for the division.
In the 2nd Division, Chris Cauchi faced off against Zvailen Busuttil. Despite Busuttil’s determined effort, Cauchi maintained control and sealed the win with a 3-1 result.
The Masters Division also saw dominant play as Peter Pace swept past Tony Cassar with a commanding 3-0 victory. Pace’s performance demonstrated precision and calm under pressure, leaving no room for a comeback.
Today’s matches not only highlighted fierce competition across all levels but also demonstrated the growing depth of talent within Maltese snooker. As the group stages progress, all eyes will remain on the players as they vie for glory in their respective divisions.
