The third leg of the five-part Hudson Race Series, powered by Nike, unfolded in Dingli on Sunday, offering athletes a demanding yet picturesque course through the lush surroundings of Buskett. The race’s uphill finish and breathtaking views have become a signature feature of the series — and this latest edition did not disappoint.
Mark Herrera delivered another dominant performance, securing his second win of the series. He led the pack decisively, while Steve Pace and Mark Axiaq battled it out in a tight contest for second place, ultimately separated by just seven seconds.
In the women’s 10k race, Josann Attard Pulis continued to impress with another solid performance, crossing the line ahead of Jolene Debattista, who maintained a comfortable gap over third-placed Angele Sammut.
The 5k race saw Brandon Saliba take top honours, with Adrian Cutajar and Heathcliff Farrugia following closely behind. On the women’s side, Charyl Fava extended her unbeaten streak, with Abigail Church taking second place and Nadia Mifsud finishing just three seconds behind in third.
Trophies and prizes were presented by Race Director Charlie Demanuele, who expressed heartfelt thanks to the Rabat and Dingli Local Councils, the Rabat Police, and Transport Malta for their logistical support. He also acknowledged the crucial backing of Hudson Group and ProHealth Ltd, local agents for La Roche-Posay, for their continued sponsorship of the event.
The penultimate race in the Hudson Race Series is set for Sunday, 7th September in Burmarrad, with limited entries still available for what promises to be another exciting instalment.
