The head coach of the Brazilian football team, Tite, was satisfied with the victory over Switzerland and the place in the round of 16 of the World Cup in Qatar.
“Our project is a process that we have been building for four years. Tonight is the victory of that process and work. And that’s where individual qualities come to the fore. Paqueta leaving (at halftime) is a tactical choice since we knew how to read the game. Paqueta is in good shape, but the match required other options,” said Tite at the press conference.
Brazil beat Switzerland 1:0 in the second round of Group G at the World Cup in Qatar and qualified for the round of 16 with all six points.
“We knew that Switzerland had the best defense in the qualifiers. They have a different style of play than Serbia. They play lower and it seems as if they say to you: ‘You are wrong and we will take advantage of it’. They have very good players such as Embolo, Xhaka, goalkeeper Sommer…”, said the coach of the five-time world champion.
