Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay claimed the women’s title at the Italy Major Premier Padel tournament in Rome after defeating top seeds Ari Sánchez and Paula Josemaría in straight sets.
The second-seeded pair secured a 6-4 6-4 victory at the Foro Italico, repeating their success over the same opponents in the Qatar Major final earlier this season.
Brea and Triay produced a composed display in the key moments of the match, breaking late in the opening set before maintaining control in the second to seal the title.
The triumph marks their second Major crown of the season and further underlines their status as one of the leading partnerships on the Premier Padel circuit. The victory also sees Triay return to the top of the individual world rankings.
