The Malta Amateur Wrestling Federation will compete at the Gran Prix d’Espana in Madrid next week.
The Maltese athletes competing are Gary Giordimaina in the 57kg category, Nico Zarb in the 74kg category and Cedric Vella in the 92kg category.

Jesmond Giordimaina will serve as coach, while Abraham Vassallo will officiate as an international referee.
More than 300 wrestlers from over 40 countries around the world are expected to compete at the event.
Following the competition, the Maltese athletes will take part in a week-long training camp as part of their preparations for the Mediterranean Games.
Meanwhile, referee Abraham Vassallo will also officiate at this year’s Ranking Series event in Budapest.
The Malta Amateur Wrestling Federation said that its participation has been made possible thanks to the support of the Maltese Olympic Committee, SportMalta and Bridgepoint.
