Tiger Woods has officially confirmed his relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of former US President Donald Trump, via a social media post featuring two images and the caption: “Love is in the air.”

The couple had recently been spotted together at Torrey Pines in San Diego, where they were joined by Vanessa’s daughter, Kai, as Woods arrived to present the trophy to the winner of the Genesis Invitational, a tournament he hosts.
Kai Trump attends The Benjamin School, the same private institution as Woods’ two children, Sam and Charlie. She and Charlie also participated in an invitational junior golf tournament earlier this week.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter) to his 6.4 million followers, Woods wrote:
“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time, we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”
The post included two photos: one of the couple smiling and posing together, and another more intimate image showing Vanessa draped across Woods in a hammock as he looks up at the sky.
The pair had been the subject of speculation in the tabloids for several weeks. Vanessa Trump was previously married to Donald Trump Jr. for 12 years, and the couple share five children.
Woods made headlines earlier this month when he announced he had ruptured his left Achilles tendon, ruling him out of the upcoming Masters Tournament and potentially sidelining him for the remainder of the season.
Despite launching and starring in the debut season of TGL—a new golf league co-founded by Woods—his latest injury has stalled his return to competitive play.
It remains unclear what motivated Woods—known for his fiercely guarded private life—to go public with the relationship. The move mirrors a similar moment in 2013, when both he and skier Lindsey Vonn posted images to confirm their relationship.
At that time, Woods stated they had done so to reduce the presence of the “stalkarazzi” and speculative media, which he said could create dangerous situations involving his children. He also noted that such public images would undermine the value of paparazzi photos.
Woods has two children from his previous marriage to Elin Nordegren, which ended in 2010 following widespread revelations of his infidelity.
His most recent long-term relationship was with Erica Herman, which lasted around seven years until their split in October 2022. That relationship ended in legal disputes, though Herman eventually dropped the lawsuits against Woods and the trust managing his Florida estate, where she had been living.
