Team sprint world record broken by Dutch men in cycling

The Netherlands achieved a remarkable feat in the men’s team sprint, establishing a brand new world record. This outstanding performance has paved the way for an exciting gold-medal showdown against Britain later today at the National Velodrome.

Roy van der Berg, Harrie Lavreysen, and Jeffrey Hoogland exhibited exceptional speed as they completed the three-lap race in an astonishing time of 41.191 seconds. This surpasses their previous world record of 41.225 seconds.

The British trio consisting of Ed Lowe, Hamish Turnbull, and Jack Carlin also showcased their talent and determination in the first-round heat, clocking in at an impressive 41.819 seconds.

Meanwhile, Australia and France will be competing against each other for the highly-coveted bronze medal.
