Denilson Cortis has successfully represented Malta at the 2025 UET Championship for Apprentices, held this year on the Spanish island of Mallorca. The event took place at the renowned Manacor and Son Pardo racetracks, bringing together the most talented young trotting drivers from across Europe.
Cortis, who was selected by the Malta Racing Club to compete in this prestigious international event, demonstrated great commitment and skill throughout the competition. Facing strong opposition from some of Europe’s top apprentice drivers, he delivered a series of good performances that reflected both his qualities and growing maturity as a young upcoming driver.
His best result came during the Saturday meeting at Manacor, where he achieved a good third-place finish, proudly flying the Maltese flag on the European stage. The championship served as an excellent opportunity for Cortis to gain valuable international experience and to showcase the high standard of Maltese trotting abroad.
The final classification for the 2025 UET Championship for Apprentices was as follows:
1st. Linus Lanoo – Belgium – 39 points
2nd. Victor S. Sundgren – Sweden – 37 points
3rd. Lukas Strobl – Germany – 36 points
