Qormi Daikin claimed top spot in the latest edition of the Hockey 5s tournament, held at the Kordin Hockey Complex, with a dominant display across all four of their matches.
Qormi were in fine form throughout, beating White Hart 13-3 and 8-2, and seeing off Floriana Young Stars 7-4 and 7-1 to finish the tournament unbeaten at the summit of the standings.
Elsewhere, Floriana and White Hart shared the spoils across their two encounters, with Floriana winning the first meeting 2-0 before White Hart hit back to take the second 4-2.
Now in its second consecutive season, the Hockey 5s format has quickly grown in popularity among players and fans alike. The Malta Hockey Association invested in dedicated equipment last season to support the format, which offers a faster and more dynamic version of the game.
