Maltese international umpire Alessandro Amore has successfully completed his appointments at the Men’s EuroHockey Championship Qualifier II, held in Helsinki, Finland.
The tournament brought together seven European nations competing for a place in the final stage of the 2027 EuroHockey Championship.
Amore officiated four matches during the competition, including Finland’s match against Greece and the 5th/6th place play-off between Hungary and Finland, which was his final appointment of the tournament.
Being selected to referee all four of his scheduled matches reflects the confidence EuroHockey has in his ability, consistency and professionalism at international level.

It is another important achievement for both Amore and Maltese hockey, which continues to be represented at major European competitions.
