Geiger took the gold! He averaged 111.4 points!

Vinzenz Geiger, a German Nordic combined skier, won a gold medal at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Geiger was awarded 111.4 points for the 98-meter jump, which was the 11th result in the jumps, and thus was one minute and 26 seconds behind the cross-country race, ten kilometers behind the leader, Ryotu Yamamoto.

In the second discipline, he finished the race in 23 minutes and 41.7 seconds.

For Geiger, this is the second Olympic gold medal won in his career, but the first independent triumph in Pyongyang since he triumphed in a team competition four years ago.

In second place was the Norwegian, Jergen Grabak, who took the silver eight tenths behind Geiger, while in third place with the bronze medal was the Austrian, Lukas Greiderer.

It should be noted that some of the best athletes in the Nordic combined missed the competition this season due to positive tests on the crown.

We will most likely watch them on Tuesday when the competition is held on the big jump or next Thursday when the team competition is on the program.
