With an incredible Technical Knock Out in the fifth round after a great count in the third round, local Maltese fighter Adam Laamouz just won one of the most sought title belts in the Muay Thai discipline on the YOKKAO fighting canvas in Thailand’s stunning Bangla Boxing stadium.
With this remarkable victory, Laamouz created history for himself and Malta by being the first fighter of Maltese descent to win the Bangala Title belt in the Muay Thai discipline in Thailand, the country that is mostly associated with this combat sport.
In preparation for this renowned event, Laamouz spent the last five months in one of the most intensive training camps in Phuket Muay Thai gyms to sharpen his fighting skills under the guidance of the famous head trainer Kru Pat. With more than 22 years of coaching experience, Kru Pat is regarded as one of the most reputable Muay Thai trainers in Thailand and is well-known as a trainer of elite fighters.
Adam Laamouz described his professional bout with the tough Thai fighter Petchmokareth as a “Crazy Fight!” as it was an intense 5 rounds by 3 minutes fight. He proceeded by saying that, without a doubt, facing an extremely strong opponent with a record of 88 victories and only 7 losses was the hardest challenge of his fighting career. But Adam Laamouz once again showed his incredible determination when against such a tough opponent with a formidable performance he managed to defeat his
opponent.
Furthermore, Laamouz also shared the excitement he felt especially during the historic moment when he was crowned as the first Maltese winner in the magnificent stadium of Bangala, during the raising of the Maltese flag, at having achieved one of his greatest dreams.
In light of this incredible milestone, the Maltese fighter also thanked his local trainers, Master Noel Mercieca from Team Noel and Vuk Šteković from Fort Muay Thai, for their constant dedication and for being an inspiration and source of guidance for him and other local students.
