Maltese driver Jacob Micallef continued his preparations for the new season with another encouraging display during the final round of the Spanish Winter Championship held at MotorLand Aragón in Spain.

The event provided Micallef with valuable track time and competitive experience as he builds towards the start of the F4 Spanish Championship certified by the FIA, which gets underway in Valencia this April.

Across the weekend, Micallef showed clear signs of progress and determination against a highly competitive field. In the opening race, he produced a strong recovery drive, climbing from 21st to 11th place out of 32 cars in his class, underlining both his pace and racecraft.

He followed this up with a 10th place finish in the sprint race, despite the impact of penalties, while Sunday also brought another positive result in qualifying, where he secured sixth place out of 32 cars in class.

The performances at MotorLand Aragón marked another important step forward for the young driver as he continues to gain confidence and sharpen his form ahead of the main championship campaign.

With the FIA certified F4 Spanish Championship now on the horizon, Micallef can take plenty of positives from his latest outing, having demonstrated resilience, consistency and promising speed over the course of the weekend.
