Marquez misses Argentina

Marc Marquez, a Spanish motorcyclist, will not drive the third race of this year’s Moto GP championship in Argentina, confirmed Repsol Honda.

He suffered a severe fall during the warm-up for the Indonesian Grand Prix last weekend, as a result of which his diplopia returned.

Although progress has been made in the recovery of his eyesight, Marquez is not completely ready to return to the track.

“As in the previous case when he had diplopia, Marquez will continue with conservative treatment with regular check-ups,” Repsol Honda said.

He will be replaced at the Termas de Rio in Argentina by German Stefan Bradl.

Leading the race is Enea Bastianini from Ducati with 30 points.

Brad Binder has two fewer at KTM, while Fabio Quartararo is third at Yamaha with 27.

The Grand Prix of Argentina is held on Sunday at 8 pm local time.
