Meridianbet has been named the official betting partner of UFC Fight Night Belgrade, which will become the first UFC event ever staged in Serbia.
The landmark event takes place at Belgrade Arena on Saturday, 1 August 2026, with home favourite Uroš Medić scheduled to face Daniel Rodriguez in the welterweight main event.
Meridianbet branding set for historic UFC event
Under the partnership, Meridianbet will serve as the event’s exclusive sponsor in the sports-betting category in Serbia. Its branding is set to appear inside the Octagon and across official event marketing, including the fight poster and round cards.
The agreement also covers an in-venue commercial at Belgrade Arena and a digital and social-media campaign across UFC’s online channels.
The event will be shown live in the United States on Paramount+ and distributed internationally through UFC’s broadcast partners.
A homecoming for the Serbian-founded brand
Meridianbet was founded in Serbia in 2001 and is marking its 25th anniversary this year. The UFC partnership represents one of the brand’s most prominent associations with an international sports property.
“Serbia is where Meridianbet’s story began 25 years ago, and there is no bigger stage to mark that anniversary than UFC’s first-ever event in the country,” Meridian Holdings chief executive William Scott said.
“Combat sports sponsorship has long been part of our brand strategy, and partnering with one of the most-watched properties in global sports is a natural next step as we continue to build visibility for our firm across the region and the world.”
Meridianbet has previously supported professional fight cards and grassroots martial-arts events across the markets in which it operates. The company said the Belgrade agreement builds on that long-standing involvement in combat sports.
UFC makes its Serbian debut
UFC confirmed in April that Belgrade would host its first event in Serbia. The current card also features Aleksandar Rakić against Marcin Tybura and Jan Błachowicz against Bogdan Guskov, subject to change.
