Valletta managed to beat Sliema 13-11 in a shock victory in the Enemed Cup. This threw a spanner into the works for Sliema who were pretty much the team to beat this time round. On their part, San Giljan and Neptunes both registered relatively easy victories against Exiles and San Giljan respectively. Sirens defeated Birzebbuga 18-13 in an intriguing encounter.
