Neptunes continued their perfect start to the season after securing an impressive 18-14 victory over arch-rivals Sliema in a thrilling top-of-the-table encounter.
The result marked Neptunes’ eighth consecutive win of the campaign, preserving their unbeaten record while handing Sliema their first defeat of the season after a run of four straight victories.
The match got off to an exciting start, with Neptunes opening the scoring through Jordan Camilleri. Sliema responded immediately, however, as Dino Zammit and Jayden Cutajar found the net to put the Blues ahead.
Neptunes eventually regained control in a fiercely contested contest, edging each quarter to seal a deserved victory by an 18-14 scoreline.
