European Aquatics has announced that the 2024/25 Women’s Challenger Cup Final Four will be hosted by Galatasaray Zena Club in Istanbul, Turkey, on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd February 2025.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Cemal Kamaci Sports Complex will welcome the four remaining teams competing for the prestigious trophy: Turkey’s Galatasaray Zena and Izmir Buyuksehir SK, Serbia’s Vaterpolo Klub Vojvodina, and Croatia’s ZAVK Mladost.
The much-anticipated opening day will feature defending champions Izmir against Mladost, and Galatasaray facing Vojvodina for a place in the gold-medal match.
In December’s thrilling Qualification Round II, Izmir and Galatasaray finished top in their group at the Cemal Kamaci Sports Complex in Istanbul, while Vojvodina and Mladost topped their group in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Izmir and Vojvodina were the only teams to win all three of their matches, each scoring an impressive 43 goals.
Galatasaray Zena, the host team, will be aiming to replicate the success of their male counterparts, who won the men’s Challenger Cup last season.
