Chloe Amato earns recognition after standout Malta displays

Chloe Amato has earned recognition following her performances for Malta’s youth women’s water polo teams on the international stage.

Amato was highlighted among the players who stood out at the World Aquatics Women’s Under-18 Water Polo Championships, with her contribution including an eight-goal display in Malta’s 18-9 victory over Zimbabwe.

The recognition followed a period of commitment in which Amato balanced training, studies and competition demands while continuing her development with Malta’s national set-up.

Her progress was also acknowledged by Karen Amato, who thanked national coach Aurelien Cousin, Milan Cirovic, the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta, Sirens ASC Waterpolo and The Mediterranean College of Sport for their role in supporting Chloe’s development as both an athlete and a student.

The performances formed part of a wider effort by Malta’s U18 and U20 women’s national teams, with the U20 side also producing recent strong performances, including a dominant win over Switzerland earlier this month.
