Bormla subbuteo club have continued to confirm their status as one of the best clubs internationally in the world where they currently sit third in the FISTF Teams ranking when they reached the final of Major of Athens last weekend where this was their first final in a Major tournament and 12 of them on a podium this year. The Blues won Group 1 with three wins from three 4-0 vs Glyfada of Greece 4-0 vs Subbuteurs B of Greece and 3-1 with Olympia of Greece to go straight to the quarter-finals where they beat Atlas Greece 2-0 in the semi-finals the Cottonera natives made an incredulous comeback as they were losing 0-4 in the middle of the first half and at the end of the first half they went down to 0-3 so that in the second half the sheet was turned over and it was Bormla who drew a hand and 6-5 as goals difference for the joy of the blues …. where here we saw a show of force from the blues who never stopped and passed to their first ever final in Major with the Greek power house of Falcons where the game ended A draw of 1-1 and 1-2 as goals where it was only 1 gol that separated the two teams . The team was composed from Charles Aquilina Captian Jason Pisani Belgian Bessim Golger John Zammit and Josef Camilleri .

Saturday in the Individual Category Bessim Golger made it to the Final where he lost to Dimitris Dimopoulos…. and in the Veterans Category Jason Pisani reached the semi-final where he lost to Periklis Dimopoulos . Bormla subbuteo club will now be committed in mid-July to the German Grand Prix in Ludwisburg .
