Water Polo powerhouses Pro Recco, Zodiac CNAB, FTC Telekom and Olympiacos for Final 4 in Malta

The line-up is now complete for the 2026 European Aquatics Champions League Final 4 in Malta, where the men’s and women’s tournaments will be staged together for the first time in the history of European water polo.

Taking place from June 10 to 13 at the Tal-Qroqq Sports Complex in Gżira, the event will bring together Europe’s top eight clubs for four days of high-level competition, featuring some of the sport’s biggest stars alongside passionate travelling supporters.

With the quarter-final stages now concluded in both competitions, the finalists have officially been confirmed as teams prepare to battle for the most prestigious club titles in European water polo.

Women’s Final 4 lineup confirmed

Spain will have two representatives in the Women’s Final 4, with reigning European champions CN Sant Andreu returning to defend the title they won in 2025 — the club’s first-ever Champions League crown. Joining them in Malta will be Assolim CN Mataró, who arrive unbeaten this season and aiming to make history in their third Final Four appearance.

Greek powerhouse Olympiacos SFP continue to demonstrate remarkable consistency at the highest level, reaching a sixth Final Four in the last seven editions and once again entering the competition among the favourites.

Hungary’s FTC Telekom Waterpolo complete the women’s lineup following another impressive European campaign. Their qualification also marks a historic achievement for the club, with both the women’s and men’s teams reaching the Final 4 in the same season.

Europe’s elite ready for men’s showdown

The Men’s Final 4 will showcase some of the biggest names in world water polo.

Spanish champions Zodiac CNAB return to the Final 4 after topping their quarter-final group and bouncing back strongly from last season’s semi-final disappointment.

Greek giants Olympiacos SFP secured their place after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Brescia on matchday five, booking a return to European water polo’s biggest stage.

Italian powerhouse Pro Recco — the most successful club in European water polo history with 11 Champions League titles — also return after re-establishing themselves among Europe’s elite.

Defending champions FTC Telekom Waterpolo complete the men’s lineup following another dominant campaign, while also celebrating the club’s historic double qualification for both Final 4 tournaments in Malta.

Countdown to the finals begins

After months of intense competition, Europe’s top clubs are now just one step away from the sport’s biggest stage. For the first time in history, the Women’s Champions League final will take place one day before the Men’s Champions League final, with Malta hosting both events in a landmark celebration of European water polo.
